Specifically, Volvo brought the new and technologically advanced EX60<\/b> to Greece, presenting the advantages of the model<\/b> to the local specialist press, in terms of the new generation of electrification and safety<\/b>, which is synonymous with the Swedish brand<\/b>.<\/p>\n
In order to to better introduce it, Volvo Car Hellas brought the head of the Volvo Cars Safety Center, Asa Haglund<\/b>, to Greece in order to develop the technological innovations that the model brings in the field of safety<\/b> and the methods of research for safer cars<\/b>.<\/p>\n Today, Volvo Car Hellas had the honour to organize a unique event with high symbolism, at Asteria in Glyfada. We welcomed the mastermind behind the safest cars in the world and, together, the smartest Volvo to date. \u00c5sa Haglund, Head of Volvo Cars Safety Centre, took the press audience through Volvo Cars’ safety philosophy, which now counts 99 years of pioneering work, and revealed the new EX60. The latest all-electric Volvo embodies all of our company’s expertise to date and sets a new standard in car safety.<\/p>\n Since its inception, Volvo Cars has made people’s safety the purpose of its existence, not just an “ambition”. In a brief but fascinating tour from yesterday to today, Ms Haglund discussed how this purpose has been realised over the course of almost a century, making Volvo Cars synonymous with safety. Generations and generations of Volvo cars have protected generations and generations of people. Today, many of them gratefully share their stories through the “Volvo saved my life” platform.<\/p>\n “Building on our pioneering expertise in real-world safety since the 1970s, we are developing advanced technology with a clear purpose – to make people’s lives safer, better and more enjoyable,” says \u00c5sa Haglund. “The EX60 is our smartest car to date and it will only get smarter and safer as it continues to learn and evolve with you.”<\/p>\n Since 1970, Volvo Cars’ Safety Centre has been collecting and analysing data from real-life accidents involving more than 50,000 Volvo cars and over 80,000 people, applying the knowledge gained to Volvo models in an approach unique to the automotive industry. And today, it draws on real-time data that reveals how Volvos are helping to avoid accidents – with more than 10 million relevant incidents to date.<\/p>\n Based on this knowledge, the company’s rigorous Safety Standard was created. The Volvo Cars Safety Standard goes far beyond the typical regulatory requirements and the ‘5-star’ target, ensuring that Volvos meet a much wider range of real-world scenarios.<\/p>\n As \u00c5sa Haglund explained, the new Volvo EX60 is the next evolution of the Volvo Cars Safety Standard, changing the terms of the game in safety as well. It is the smartest and most technologically advanced Volvo to date. Designed to help predict risks, learn and evolve continuously, it is a new benchmark in car safety. At the same time, it introduces a world first in safety, the multi-adjustable seat belt that adapts its function in real time to the type of collision and the occupant’s body. It is essentially a “reinvention” of the three-point seat belt first introduced by Volvo in 1959.<\/p>\n The EX60 redefines the concept of a pure electric car, incorporating technologies that turn “autonomy anxiety” into autonomy confidence, while running on a powerful central computer system keyed to software-defined cars. The EX60’s advanced, AI-enabled “brain” is based on an NVDIA mainframe.
