The director general of New Democracy describes the moment at which the Congress is being held<\/b> as a peak moment and an opportunity to continue the dialogue and send “messages of preparation, unity and victory”<\/b>of his party for the upcoming elections.

The 16th Ordinary Congress of New Democracy marks the official start of the preparation of our party, our great historical, centre-right, liberal party, for the national elections of 2027.<\/p>\n
With the President of New Democracy and Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b>, we were in every corner of the country during the pre-congress dialogue.<\/b>From Evros to Crete, we discussed with the New Democrats all that we have achieved in the seven years of our government and all that we plan and envision for the future of our country.<\/p>\n
We demonstrated all that we have put into practice in all fields of politics. We discussed, among other things, about growth and a strong economy, the strengthened welfare state and social cohesion, the protection of citizens and the security of the country, the role of modernizing the public and private sectors and making our daily lives easier with the digital state (gov.gr), the defence armouring of our country and the multidimensional foreign policy<\/b> that we have set out, always in the interest of our country.<\/p>\n
We stressed that the goal of our government from 2019 is that no one and no one is left behind. Our primary concern throughout these years – and we continue to do so, of course – is to support society and to take even greater care of our most vulnerable fellow human beings.<\/b><\/p>\n
At our Ordinary Congress, at this climactic moment, we will continue the dialogue on our policies, we will take stock of our important government work, and the election of the new Political Committee will take place, sending messages of preparation, unity and victory for our party for the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n
Our party, which for more than half a century remains resilient and strong because it serves the principles and values of its founding declaration and has cultivated relations of trust with the Greek people. Our party that has played a leading role with seriousness and responsibility in historic and key decisions for the country<\/b> and has designed and implemented long-term policies for the progress and prosperity of all Greeks without exception.<\/p>\n
And these days, thousands of Young Democrats from all generations are participating in our Congress and setting the political priorities for Greece in 2030.<\/p>\n
With the aim, in the upcoming elections, with the trust of the Greek people, to form for the third consecutive time an independent government<\/b> with the President of the New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as Prime Minister.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
