Three years after the historic victory in the municipal elections<\/b> of 2023<\/b>, when Freddy Beleris<\/b> was elected mayor for the first time Cheimarra<\/b>, the emotion remains for him and his constituents.<\/p>\n

In a post, Belleris<\/b> thanked from the bottom of his heart every person who stood by him during those difficult days: “all those who did not bow their heads, did not fear and kept alive the hope and dignity of Himarra<\/b>.” <\/p>\n

“You were my strength<\/b>,” he wrote, stressing that “you turned a personal trial into a symbol of struggle and democracy<\/b>.” <\/p>\n

He promised that he will continue to fight with the same strength for the land, the people and all that Himarra is entitled to<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In his message, he also said, “The land of Himarra has had an owner, identity and culture for 3000 years. We have an obligation together to preserve it<\/b>.”<\/p>\n

“Three years after that historic victory, the emotion remains the same. A victory that was born out of 13 years of impunity, injustice, fear and hardship, but proved that the voice of a people cannot be imprisoned.<\/p>\n

I want to thank from the bottom of my heart today every single person who stood by me in those difficult days. All of you who did not bow your heads. For not being afraid. For keeping alive the hope and dignity of Himarra.<\/p>\n

You were my strength.<\/p>\n

You turned a personal trial into a symbol of struggle and democracy.
I will never forget your faith, love and support. I promise you that I will continue to fight with the same strength for our land, for our people and for everything that Himarra deserves.<\/p>\n
