The Vice-Chairman of the Government<\/b>, Kostis Hatzidakis<\/b>, was a guest of Thanasis Fouskidis on the vidcast Black Box<\/b>, on the opening day of the Syndrio of the ND<\/b>. <\/p>\n

Mr. Hatzidakis<\/b>, referring to the Southwestern Democratic Party’s Congress<\/b>, stressed that it is an opportunity for an evaluation of the course<\/b> and the work that the government of the Southwestern Democratic Party has done so far, but also to make the necessary self-criticism<\/b>. <\/p>\n

“It is important to talk about the agenda for the next day at this year’s conference<\/b>,” Hatzidakis<\/b> said. “Obviously we will highlight the important work, but we don’t want a vote of gratitude, but realistic hope and perspective<\/b>,” he added.<\/p>\n

As regards the second four years of the ND government, Mr.Hatzidakis said that there may be an ostensible feeling that no reforms have been made, but this is not the case. “Interventions were made that we have been discussing for decades and were not made, such as non-state universities and there is significant interest from foreign private universities<\/b>,” the Deputy Prime Minister said. In fact, he said that even he himself has at times criticised the party, but made it clear that “we are all on the same boat<\/b>“. <\/p>\n

Referring to OPEKEPE<\/b>, he said that “ND is paying a political cost and that is why we should see its mistakes, reflect and move on<\/b>“. “Our obligation is to have a stance of honesty<\/b> with the people and be present for our country and our children.”<\/p>\n

Asked about the issue of politicians’ ruffles<\/b>, Hatzidakis<\/b> replied, “there is no MP who has not received a call for a voter<\/b>.” <\/p>\n

Mr Hatzidakis<\/b> also referred to the issue of watching<\/b>. “In the connections<\/b> things did not work well at all, it is obvious. Responsibility has been taken and two executives have resigned. No one cares as much as I do about my private sphere,” he commented, adding that the Justice<\/b> is investigating the matter.<\/p>\n
