The Konstantinos Kyranakis<\/b> invoked the Article 57<\/b> immunity in the property<\/b> Androulakis<\/b>.<\/p>\n
“Article 57 of the constitution says that it is prohibited for a member of parliament to have a business with Public<\/b>,” Constantine Kyranakis<\/b> said, commenting on the case with the property of Nikos Androulakis<\/b> with PASOK<\/b> responding to the deputy Minister of Transport<\/b>.<\/p>\n
“In 2009, a few days after George Papandreou took over as prime minister and a few weeks before Greece entered the first memorandum, a property owned by Mr Androulakis was rented for 10,000 euros to Hellenic Land Registry SA at the time<\/b>,” Kyranakis<\/b> told Action 24.<\/p>\n
“I also had a question when I went through this organization, why the Greek state<\/strong> undertook to renovate the property, to give money not the lessor<\/strong>, but the Greek state,” he added.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n “We come to the time when Mr. Androulakis<\/b> becomes a deputy and then a leader within a political party. Article 57 of the constitution says that it is forbidden for an MP to have a business activity with the public as a client<\/strong>,” said Konstantinos Kyranakis<\/b>.<\/p>\n “So this property is leased in some other way, is not a business activity?<\/strong>” he asked, adding: “Is it allowed for other MPs to rent their properties to the Greek state, to have the Greek state as a client?<\/b>“<\/p>\n At the same time, the minister called on constitutionalists<\/strong> to give a legal interpretation<\/strong> on this issue and whether it is legal for the above to happen under Article 57 of the Constitution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Konstantinos Kyranakis invoked the incompatibility of article 57 for the case of the Androulakis property.
