The 16th Ordinary Symposium of the New Democracy<\/strong>, which takes place at the Metropolitan Expo, with the central theme “Together for Greece 2030”<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The second day of the conference focuses on the analysis of the government’s key priorities for the coming years, with Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/strong> giving special attention to the economy, social policy, security and the digital transformation of the country. <\/p>\n

Focus on AI and innovation <\/h2>\n

A special focus is given to the thematic section on Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> and innovation<\/strong>, in which the Prime Minister is participating, highlighting the role that new technologies are expected to play in the country’s development model up to 2030. <\/p>\n

The government is attempting to present a comprehensive plan that links the digital transition to growth, the labour market and the improvement of citizens’ daily lives, with an emphasis on creating a more modern and competitive state. <\/p>\n

According to the conference design, the second day has a strong programmatic character<\/b>, aiming to present the roadmap for the next period. <\/b> <\/p>\n

The eight thematic sections of the conference <\/h2>\n

The day’s programme is developed through eight parallel thematic sections, in which ministers, MPs and executives of New Democracy participate. <\/p>\n

The themes are: <\/b> <\/p>\n

  • “Welfare state for all: new perspectives and opportunities”<\/li>\n
  • “Strong Greece”<\/li>\n
  • “Strong economy – Strong Greece”<\/li>\n
  • “2030: Greece strong, New Democracy ahead”<\/li>\n
  • “Greece, a destination for all – Major projects and infrastructure”<\/li>\n
  • “Modern state for all”<\/li>\n
  • “Secure Greece”<\/li>\n
  • “With the young people we are building the Greece of the future”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Through the specific sections, the government seeks to present its priorities for the next four years, with an emphasis on growth, investment, strengthening defence, supporting young people and improving public services. <\/p>\n

    The speeches that are attracting interest<\/h2>\n

    The morning programme includes interventions by top government officials and party leaders. <\/p>\n

    Among those expected to be placed are Kostis Hatzidakis<\/strong> and Adonis Georgiades<\/strong>, while the interventions of international guests are of particular interest. <\/p>\n

    The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides<\/strong>, will participate in the conference, as well as the President of the European People’s Party<\/strong>, Manfred Weber<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

    The presence of the two political figures is considered particularly important, as it reinforces the European and international footprint of the event. <\/p>\n

    The procedures for the new Political Committee <\/h2>\n

    Alongside the political positions, the organisational procedures for the conference are also underway. <\/p>\n

    According to the Central Election Committee (CEC)<\/strong>, the submission of nominations for the new Political Committee of New Democracy will take place from 14:00 to 16:00. <\/p>\n

    The procedure is part of tomorrow’s voting, which will officially conclude the proceedings of the 16th Congress of the party. <\/p>\n
