The coordinated operation of Europol<\/strong> and Eurojustice<\/strong> led to the dismantling of circuit that was trafficking large drugs<\/strong> and unauthorized dietary supplements, presenting them as authentic for serious conditions.<\/p>\n

The pan-European operation involved the authorities of 15 countries, including Greece<\/strong>, with the Social Security Department of the Financial Crimes Sub-Directorate\/D.A.O.E.<\/strong> to take part in the investigations and data collection at a logistics company in Koropi<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Searches at 113 locations and arrests of key members<\/h2>\n

The operation took place on the morning of 14 May 2026, as part of the execution of a European search mandate and under the coordination of Europol<\/strong> and Eurojust<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

According to authorities, the criminal group had developed an extensive network of defrauding citizens across Europe, promoting fake supplements<\/strong> and drugs that appeared to be approved preparations for serious conditions. <\/p>\n

A total of 113 locations<\/strong> in Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Moldova<\/strong> were investigated and key members of the organisation were arrested. <\/p>\n

Turnover 240 million. euros and action from 2019<\/h2>\n

The organisation allegedly operated with a strict hierarchical structure from 2019, having set up companies through which it marketed more than 400 supplements<\/strong> without the necessary marketing authorisation. <\/p>\n

The illegal turnover of the criminal activity is estimated to have reached 240 million euros<\/strong>, revealing the vast scope of the scheme. <\/p>\n

The illegal products were distributed through hundreds of websites and social media accounts. The perpetrators often used photos and names of well-known people, as well as fake identities of alleged doctors, in order to convince unsuspecting citizens to buy the preparations. <\/p>\n

“Closed” 196 websites<\/h2>\n

As part of the operation, the authorities in Romania<\/strong> proceeded to shut down 196 websites<\/strong> used to sell the products. <\/p>\n

At the same time, large quantities of illegal supplements were seized, mainly from the criminal organisation’s central warehouse in Bulgaria<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

In addition, in Poland<\/strong>, assets with a total value of 1.8 million euros<\/strong> were seized. <\/p>\n

The countries involved in the operation<\/h2>\n

The major transnational operation involved authorities from Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Latvia, Hungary, Greece, Greece, Italy, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Moldova<\/strong> and once again the cooperation of European law enforcement agencies was decisive in dismantling organised circles that pose a risk to public health. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
