“We would not have achieved anything if the party had not fought the battles united,” Takis Theodoricakos said at the Syngress of the New Democracy Party. <\/p>\n
“From 2015 to 2019<\/b>, ND united Greeks in a large social majority against populism<\/b>, overtaxation<\/b> and the chaos of insecurity<\/b>. It was based on the truth deal. From 2019 to 2023<\/b> and up to the present day, the party has succeeded in effectively managing major crises<\/b> with human life, patriotism, and support for the economy<\/b> as firm values. Fiscal stability, credibility and high growth rates have been established,” Development Minister Takis Theodoricakos<\/b> said at the 16th conference of the New Democracy Party.<\/p>\n
“We would not have achieved anything if the party had not fought the battles united<\/b>,” he stressed, adding that “we remained firm in the founding declaration of the National Lord Karamanlis.”<\/b><\/p>\n
The development minister noted that “we have an ideology beyond the labels<\/b> of patriotism<\/b>, freedom and solidarity.”<\/p>\n
“This is the blue jersey<\/b> and we all wear it in the Southwest and we are united as one fist<\/b>,” he added.<\/p>\n
Theodoricakos said that boosting productivity is a prerequisite<\/b> for solidly improving the wages<\/b> of employees<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The development minister, among other things, spoke about addressing the demographic<\/b> problem and reducing regional disparities.<\/p>\n
“This truth deal to be put into practice has as a condition<\/b> a third four-year term of the New Democracy<\/b>, a new major victory in the next elections<\/b>. It presupposes unity<\/b> again and again<\/b>. The battle we will fight will not be easy<\/b>, it will be the most difficult<\/b> we have been through in all these last years. <\/b>No one has the right to be left out.<\/b> This is for everyone and especially personalities<\/b> who have historical connection<\/b> with this great people’s party. <\/b>The NW was, is and will be their home. Because it cannot be otherwise and because no problem is solved by absence<\/b>. Nor with political divorces<\/b> which have never gone well with this party<\/b>,” he stressed. <\/p>\n
Theodoricakos also referred to the change of the development law<\/b>, noting that everything was done with consistency, speed, transparency and credibility.<\/p>\n
“With the backing of the Prime Minister<\/b>, we are fighting the battle to return to the state coffers hundreds of millions<\/b> that businesses received over the past 20 years from the development law<\/b> without making the investments they had undertaken. We have collected back 120 million euros<\/b> and we will continue because it is a matter of honour to prove that this party<\/b> manages the Greek people’s money with transparency, accountability and legitimacy<\/b>,” he stressed.<\/p>\n
“We operate with strict measures for the protection of consumers<\/b>. The same with a bill<\/b> that will protect consumers from banking abuses<\/b>. We are making consumer protection policies, we have set the highest fines and 99.5 per cent have been collected,” he added.<\/p>\n
“The third four-year term<\/b> of the South West may be the best<\/b>. We can be even better because we have better knowledge and experience,” he stressed. “100 days before the 2023 elections<\/b> there was no one who believed in the self-reliance<\/b> of the Southwest.
