The three-day proceedings of the Summit<\/b> of the New Democracy<\/b> conclude today (17\/05) with the election of the new members of the Political Committee.<\/p>\n
The 16th Ordinary Congress of New Democracy<\/b> enters its final stretch today, Sunday (17\/05), with the focus turning to the intra-party ballots<\/b>as well as the speech<\/b> by Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b>. <\/p>\n
The curtain of the top party process will fall with the voting for the new Political Committee<\/b>, which will determine the internal correlations and the organizational structure of the party for the next period.<\/p>\n
According to the schedule, the voting for the election of Political Committee members<\/b> will take place from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.<\/p>\n
From 09:00 to 11:00<\/b> there will be speeches<\/b> by conference delegates under the thematic section “2030: Greece Strong, New Democracy Ahead”.<\/p>\n
At 11:00<\/b> the Secretary of the Political Committee, Stelios Kontadakis<\/b> will speak, while immediately afterwards there will be interventions by representatives of European institutions<\/b> and the Cypriot Republic<\/b>. In particular, a video greeting by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola<\/b>, and the former President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker<\/b>, will be shown.<\/p>\n
This will be followed by speeches by the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Apostolos Tzitzikosta<\/b>, the Secretary General of the EPP, Dollors Montserrat<\/b> and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus and President of DISY, Anita Demetriou<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Then the reading of the conclusions of the 16th Ordinary Congress<\/b> and the statement of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Theodoros Roussopoulos<\/b> will take place.<\/p>\n
