The election <\/b>process for the election of the new Political Committee <\/b>of New Democracy, in a process that Piraeus <\/b>tries to highlight as a political message<\/b> of continuity, organisational cohesion and strong party identity. <\/p>\n
According to party sources, the 214 candidates <\/b>who participated in the process represent “a clear political reflection of the soul of the historical party”, as they come from different generations and periods of the New Democracy’s journey.<\/b> <\/p>\n
The ruling party<\/b> places particular emphasis on the fact that these are executives with a long presence in the party<\/b>, persons who, as noted, did not appear<\/b> recently on the political scene<\/b>, but have served the principles and values of the centre-right<\/b> throughout time. <\/p>\n
The new Political Committee,<\/b> according to the assessment of the leadership<\/b>, expresses all the creative tendencies that make up New Democracy<\/b> over time, while the persons elected come from the party core and the base of the party<\/b>, having fought battles in critical political periods. <\/p>\n
At a time when the political system is often accused<\/b> of personality-centric logics and opportunistic movements<\/b> of staff<\/b>, New Democracy<\/b> believes that the composition of the new Political Committee<\/b> highlights the existence of deep organisational roots and strong party continuity. <\/p>\n
