The Prime Minister is touring the prefecture of Laconia, specifically Sparta and Mystras. <\/p>\n
“I have made a conscious choice not to meet in the corridors of toxicity of the opposition, but to try every day to make the lives of citizens a little better<\/strong>,” the prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his address to citizens of Sparta,<\/b> sending a message of political stability and insisting that the priority of the government remains the daily life of citizens. <\/p>\n The prime minister argued that the public debate<\/b> that dominates the media often distances itself from the real problems of society. <\/p>\n “The current affairs in the media do not always meet the priorities<\/b> of citizens and what they discuss at their dinner table,” he said, noting that daily life, the cost of living and security are the main issues of concern to citizens. <\/p>\n Mitsotakis made special reference to the international environment of instability, stressing that the government’s basic mission is to maintain stability. <\/p>\n “The task of every responsible prime minister is to keep the ship of the homeland safe in the troubled waters we are crossing,” he said, adding that “Greece has never been stronger.” <\/p>\n The prime minister warned that in the coming period “many promises<\/b> and scenarios of science fiction<\/b> will be heard,” <\/b> making an indirect reference to the opposition. <\/p>\n “We heard them years ago and you saw where we ended up,” he said, stressing that the government will not risk the country’s fiscal stability. <\/p>\n “One thing I will not jeopardize is fiscal stability. <\/b>We must not leave debts to our children,” he stressed. <\/p>\n At the same time, he left open the possibility of new support measures in the coming months<\/b>, noting however that these would be done “without risking the future of the country”. <\/p>\n Mitsotakis acknowledged that daily life remains difficult<\/b> for many households because of accuracy<\/b>. <\/p>\n “Things in everyday life are not easy. We are facing a wave of inaccuracy,” he said, assuring that the government would continue to support the people. <\/p>\n He said, “the surplus of growth will be turned into a dividend of social welfare,” reiterating that the goal is to return growth to society. <\/p>\n He placed particular emphasis on the reliability of the government <\/b>and the consistency of words and deeds. <\/p>\n “The credibility of policies is judged by results and consistency,” he said, calling on citizens to compare what the government had committed in 2023<\/b> with what has already been implemented. <\/p>\n “Citizens will judge us on what we do, but we have other credibility when we have already done what we promised,” he said. <\/p>\n The prime minister also referred to his frequent presence in the region, stressing that he has been conducting systematic tours throughout the country. <\/p>\n “I have been touring systematically for seven years.
