{"id":6925,"date":"2026-05-22T16:54:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T13:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=6925"},"modified":"2026-05-22T16:54:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T13:54:00","slug":"adse-lpg-smuggling-ring-dismantled-15-tankers-and-293000-litres-seized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=6925","title":{"rendered":"ADSE: LPG smuggling ring dismantled &#8211; 15 tankers and 293,000 litres seized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An extensive and fully organised <b>circuit of LPG smuggling<\/b> has been broken up by <b>auditors <\/b>from <b>DEOS<\/b>, the Independent Public Revenue Authority.<\/p>\n<p>The action was coordinated with guidance and monitoring from the <b>Central Operations Room<\/b> of the DEOS in Athens.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, <b>28 teams<\/b>with more than <b>100 auditors,<\/b>assisted by 4 booth operators in charge and 4 operational analysts, simultaneously entered the premises of targeted businesses in <b>14 cities across the country:<\/b>Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Rhodes, Trikala, Karditsa, Kastoria, Athens, Katerini, Nafplio, Aspropyrgos, Santorini, Agrinio, Rethymno and Kalamata.<\/p>\n<p>In the<b> customs and tax control<\/b> that they conducted, they investigated the possible commission of<b> financial crimes.<\/b> As a result of the controls, two natural persons were brought before the public prosecutor,<\/b> 15 tankers were seized and <b>bonded, as well as 293.000 litres of LPG.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In addition, an <b>outdoor place of illegal storage of LPG<\/b> was identified, as well as another place where it was found that there was hidden storage of fuel.
