From his tour of Laconia,<\/b> Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b> has outlined the main tactics New Democracy <\/b>will follow on the road to the elections.<\/b>
Consistency of words and deeds<\/b>with what has been done so far, and confidence for the years to come, is the formula for the New Democracy’s strategy on the road to the national elections against<\/b> the toxicity<\/b> of the opposition<\/b>.<\/a><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
From his tour of Laconia, Kyriakos Mitsotakis outlined the basic tactical focus<\/b>that he will follow, focusing on the issues that really concern citizens<\/b> and not on those that the opposition deliberately attempts to highlight in an attempt to cultivate a climate of scandal and toxicity.<\/b><\/p>\n
In this context, the response to the request for the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry into the case of the surveillance was negative, <\/b>without this meaning that the Mansion of Maximou underestimates the issue on which it has taken a series of initiatives that have been recognized by the European Commission.<\/b><\/p>\n
The case, as is known, is being investigated by the Justice <\/b>and as far as the part of the possible involvement of state officials is concerned, it has been decided three times clearly and at the highest level.<\/p>\n
In the government camp they stress that they are not determining their strategy and policy from the opposition that invests unilaterally in toxicity.<\/b><\/p>\n
This dimension was given even more clearly by Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself, speaking to citizens in Sparta and calling on the ruling party’s executives to immediately start the race for the 2027 polls,<\/b> signalling that the dilemma of the next elections will be which party can take the country forward, take the EU presidency, keep the country safe and guarantee progress and prosperity<\/b>at a time when, while politicians as a whole are being questioned, the government can look citizens in the eye and tell them that what it committed to in 2023, kept its promise<\/b> and delivered.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister made particular reference to the biggest problem facing society, which is of course none other than accuracy.<\/b><\/p>\n
“You will hear a lot of promises. You will hear a lot of pledges. You will hear a lot of plans or science fiction scenarios. You’ll hear rabbits with rocks, you’re already starting to hear them. <\/b>We heard the same thing several years ago and you saw where we ended up. I have made a commitment to the citizens. We will never compromise the fiscal stability of the country. Whatever we do will be within our means<\/b>,” he assured and said he was proud because the government has achieved the fastest reduction of public debt in seven years.<\/p>\n
“In the coming months we will be able to support Greek society even more.<\/b> But we will always do it within our means and always with an eye on the future.<\/b> We are not going to undermine and we are not going to mortgage the great efforts we have made,” he stressed.<\/p>\n
Apart from accuracy, Mitsotakis referred to actions in Education and Health – including the inclusion of nurses in the heavy and unhealthy sector – and pointed out that these are the issues that concern citizens.
“I have made a conscious choice as prime minister and as president of our great party, not to engage and not to meet in the corridors of toxicity with the opposition,<\/b> but to continue to bend over the problems of citizens, to implement our government’s work and try every day to make the lives of citizens a little better,<\/b> he stressed.<\/p>\n
The prime minister also visited the construction site where the General Hospital of Sparta is being built.<\/b> Work is expected to be completed in 2027 and Mitsotakis spoke of an architectural jewel and a state-of-the-art hospital, which will be a point of reference for the entire Peloponnese.<\/b> The hospital will have more than 140 beds, eight Intensive Care Units and will fully cover the range of medical and surgical specialties.<\/p>\n
