The abuse of 3-year-old child<\/strong> in Chania, with the authorities’ investigations now extending to earlier incidents involving the family. <\/p>\n

According to reports, both the child’s mother and the Pakistani-born man alleged to be his father face charges of attempted manslaughter with intent<\/strong>. The two are expected to be brought before the prosecutor’s office on Monday (25\/5). <\/p>\n

At the same time, the deaths of two more of the mother’s children have been the focus of the investigation. She reportedly claimed that the children died while breastfeeding. The authorities are now examining all the facts surrounding these cases. <\/p>\n

Father tried to evade arrest <\/h2>\n

The man who was arrested allegedly tried to mislead police by giving the impression that he had already left Crete for Athens. <\/p>\n

In fact, according to the same information, a ticket had even been issued in his name to reinforce the scenario that he had left Chania. <\/p>\n

The police officers of the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Chania were not convinced by his claims and continued the investigation. Through information, telephone contacts and operational data, they found that he was staying in the city and hiding, trying to buy time. <\/p>\n

Despite the diversionary tactics, authorities were able to locate him and proceed with his arrest. <\/p>\n

Other children under the authorities’ microscope <\/h2>\n

According to reports, the mother of the child did not cooperate with the police from the very first moment, which made the investigation into the circumstances under which the little girl was taken to the hospital in such a serious condition difficult. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, special attention is now being paid to the three children who were found in the house where the family was staying. The children have reportedly claimed that the 3-year-old girl is their sister. <\/p>\n

For this reason, the authorities have requested a prosecutor’s order for the examination of genetic material (DNA)<\/strong>, in order to determine whether there is a family relationship between them and to fully clarify the family environment in which the children lived. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
