Specifically, the Democratic Rally<\/b> (DISY) came in first with 27.2%<\/b>, with a loss of 0.8% compared to the previous election. The Left – Social Alliance Party (AKEL<\/b>) came second with 23.9%<\/b>, appearing 1.4% stronger. The far-right party “National Popular Front<\/b>” (ELAM) appears third with 10.9%<\/b>, up 4% from the previous election. <\/p>\n
The “Democratic Party<\/b>” (DIKO) appears fourth, garnering 10%<\/b> and losing 1.3% from its previous electoral strength. The Alma – Citizens for Cyprus<\/b> appears in fifth place with 5.8%<\/b>, while the “Immediate Democracy of Cyprus” (IDC) party gathers 5.4%<\/b> of the electoral preference and enters the Parliament<\/b>. <\/p>\nElection turnout increased<\/h3>\n
Participation in the 2026 parliamentary elections increased by 2.5% compared to the previous parliamentary elections in 2021. Specifically, the final turnout rate for the 2026 general election was 66.4%<\/b>, while the final turnout<\/b> was recorded at 33.6%<\/b>. <\/p>\n
According to Elections Commissioner General Elricos Ilias, 378,150 voters<\/b> turned out for Sunday’s election, out of 569,182 eligible voters. Compared to the previous parliamentary elections in 2021, turnout was up just 2.5%.<\/p>\n
According to Elricos Ilias, a total of 4,374 people voted at 13 polling stations abroad<\/b> out of a total of 6,501 registrations submitted. In the 13 polling stations that operated for the election of a representative of the Maronite Religious Group, 3,175 people voted, out of a total of 4,624 registered voters or 68.7%.<\/p>\n
