The well-known gymnast, Gogo Mastrokosta<\/b>, passed away at the age of 56 in the early morning hours of May 25. <\/p>\n

Gogo Mastrokosta, who had been fighting a long battle with cancer, had been hospitalized for the past two weeks at the Evaggelismos hospital as her health took a serious turn for the worse. <\/p>\n

The news of her death was announced by her daughter, Victoria Della. <\/b>“Today my beloved person passed away. The kindest soul, my best friend, the best woman I was so lucky to call mom. My mom was a fighter, a rock that never buckled. She didn’t complain, she didn’t sigh. She went through a lot in her life, but she faced it with strength and dignity<\/b>,” Victoria Della said in a post. <\/p>\n

“Mom, all I can do is be proud of you and admire you. In my life I hope to be just a little bit like you. You will forever be my eternal role model. And now I know that I will always have my guardian angel watching over me. I love you very much,” he continued. <\/p>\n

Gogo Mastrokosta was diagnosed with breast cancer<\/b> just days after the birth of her daughter. By her side until the end were her husband, Trajanos Dellas<\/b>, their daughter, and close family and friends.<\/p>\n

She was born on September 3, 1970, in Evinochori, Etoloakarnania. Her first goal was to study medicine, but she eventually entered the Gymnastics Academy.<\/p>\n

In 1995, she began her career in television as a gymnast through the MEGA channel. In 2007, she decided to take up singing and released an album titled “Sinfulness”.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
