The event was graced by the Rector of the Agricultural University of Athens, S. Kinzios<\/strong>, the CEO of the Hellenic Society for Local Development and Self-Government (EETAA), A. Mavridis<\/strong>, the President of the Union of Greek Consumer Workers (EEKE), A. Rautopoulos<\/strong>, and the President of the Farmers Union, G.Bakolas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The CEO of the EERDF, Anastasios Mavridis<\/strong>, stressed the importance of the event to move from dialogue to concrete, implementable policy directions, based on a bottom-up approach that harnesses the knowledge of local communities and the rural sector. He also stressed the need for systematic and proactive management of complex risks, with a central role for local government, and a commitment to translate conclusions into practical solutions.<\/p>\n During the workshop, ten policy pillars were presented, aiming to formulate workable proposals for preventing and addressing crises in the agri-food sector, while the need for targeted policies in beekeeping, aquaculture and livestock farming was also highlighted.
