Chaining reactions were provoked in SYRIZA<\/strong> and ELA.S<\/strong> the post by George Siakantaris in support of the Famellos proposal and the participation of Koumoundourou executives in Alexis Tsipras’ new political venture. <\/p>\n

The post in question was deleted shortly afterwards, but Paulos Polakis <\/b> seized the opportunity to talk about a plan to “liquidate” the party.<\/b> <\/p>\n

The main author of the ELAS<\/strong> manifesto appeared to welcome both Socrates Famellos’ suggestion and the possible participation of SYRIZA-PS<\/strong> executives in the new political formation. <\/p>\n

The post provoked immediate reactions, as many felt it reinforced the scenarios of the party’s political absorption by the new body. <\/p>\n

Giorgos Siakandaris wrote: “Socrates Famellos’ suggestion is very positive and even more positive is the possible integration of the experience of SYRIZA-PS cadres into the ELAS project alongside the further politicization of the new party’s discourse.” <\/p>\n

Note that his appointment came shortly after Socrates Famellos’ recommendation to the Political Secretariat, which was approved by a majority vote. According to reports, the leadership line that was passed was that Syriza<\/strong> is not in competition with Alexis Tsipras’ new party. <\/p>\n

The content of the post created uproar both in Koumoundourou and within the ELAS<\/strong> environment, with executives expressing annoyance at the political message being publicly broadcast. <\/p>\n

Note that shortly afterwards, George Siakandaris took down the post in question, without any clarification. <\/p>\n

Pavlos Polakis, an opponent of the Tsipras party, responded in a particularly sharp manner through his own post. <\/p>\n

The Chania MP wrote: “The humiliation is not purged by taking down the post of Siakantaris!!! Just shame on those who serve without shame the plan to liquidate SYRIZA-PS! See you tomorrow at the Central Committee”. <\/p>\n
