As the political debate<\/b> begins to take on increasingly pre-election characteristics<\/b>, the government staff chooses to keep the economy<\/b>, growth<\/b> and strengthening the disposable income of citizens<\/b>, presenting as a key objective the continuation of a path of fiscal stability<\/b> which, according to the government<\/b>, creates more space for new interventions in favour of households and businesses<\/b>. At the same time, in the opposition<\/b>, different speeds and strategies<\/b> are recorded, with PASOK<\/b> attempting a new political expansion<\/b> and SYRIZA continuing to seek balance within its domestic<\/b> ranks, while the debate surrounding the wiretapping case is also coming back to the forefront, which opposition parties are trying to bring up again<\/b>. <\/p>\n
The political processes ahead of the next national elections<\/b> are in full swing, while the government insists on the agenda of economic stability<\/b> and reforms<\/b>, while the opposition<\/b> is still seeking a steady political pace<\/b>. At the same time, the wiretapping case<\/b> is back in the front, with the opposition<\/b> parties attempting to reignite the debate<\/b>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\nThe political scene<\/h3>\n
The government is presenting as its central goal the maintenance of the country’s growth path, with emphasis on tax cuts and support for the middle class and entrepreneurship. As government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis told ERTNews, the additional fiscal margins that are formed until 2027 will be used for the benefit of citizens and businesses, with special care for small and medium-sized enterprises, within the framework of European rules. <\/p>\n
PASOK is attempting to organise a new political outreach to society, arguing that personality-centric political formations have no prospects and that citizens will turn to parties with integrated governance proposals. Evangelia Liakoulis argued that PASOK should take initiatives to avoid past mistakes. <\/p>\n
At the same time, internal party turmoil continues in SYRIZA, despite the leadership’s efforts to form conditions of understanding with Alexis Tsipras’ political entity that is being formed. Party executives are calling for an immediate clarification of relations between the two sides, as questions remain unanswered about the party’s electoral strategy. <\/p>\n
The public interventions of SYRIZA executives show that the debate over the role of Alexis Tsipras continues to dominate the party’s internal agenda, at a time when the government is focusing on the economy, investments and the everyday life of citizens. <\/p>\n
From the government’s side, Vice President Kostis Hatzidakis stressed that the country should not return to logics that were tried in the previous decade and failed to give young people and the economy prospects, sending a message to continue the reform path. <\/p>\n
The KKE, through Dimitris Koutsoubas, criticized political developments, while the president of the Hellenic Solution Kyriakos Velopoulos attempted to set an electoral tone in the debate by presenting his own political narrative. <\/p>\n
At the same time, discussions continue on the moves of former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, who is reportedly close to announcing a new political entity. His associates claim that he is receiving unjustified criticism from political opponents and commentators. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, PASOK, SYRIZA and KKE are raising the issue of the wiretapping again, calling for new testimonies and further investigation of the case by the competent institutions.
