The discussion <\/b>about the possible visit <\/b>of the US president, Donald Trump, to Greece has been reignited. <\/b><\/p>\n
The occasion was given during a meeting between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b> and the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem<\/b> and all Palestine, Theophilus III,<\/b> on Monday at the Maximos Mansion.<\/p>\n
Welcoming the Greek government’s interest in the presence and safeguarding of Christians in Jerusalem<\/b> and the wider region, as well as in preserving the pilgrimage status of Jerusalem, Mr.Theophilos stressed that the issue is of great concern to the US Secretary of State<\/b> as well as to Mr. Trump himself, whom he met privately.<\/p>\n
“We had a very good meeting. We also convey to you the greetings of President Trump<\/b>, who, I think, is also willing to visit Greece<\/b> in an upcoming visit to this place,” the Patriarch of Jerusalem<\/b> said, addressing the prime minister.<\/p>\n
The discussion about Trump’s visit to Greece had been opened by the US ambassador to Athens, Kimberly Guilfoyle,<\/b> and was reignited by the US president’s upcoming visit to Summit of NATO<\/b> in Turkey on July 7 and 8. <\/b>Therefore, many estimated that, either before or after the summit, Mr. Trump could also stop by Greece, in a visit<\/b> that, if it takes place, would have landmark characteristics.<\/p>\n
