Giannis Alafouzos <\/b>appears to be methodically moving forward with his plan to create a new platform <\/b>for television content, which aspires to be an alternative proposal<\/b> in the Super League television rights area.<\/b><\/p>\n
The first step is the choice of Panathinaikos<\/b> to pursue an autonomous course<\/b> in its television future. According to a report by LiveSport,<\/b>the “green” club has not reached an agreement with Cosmote TV,<\/b> with the team’s owner now considering a different model for the exploitation of its rights.<\/p>\n
It seems that Heracles<\/b> is also part of the project. According to the same source, Mr Alafouzos<\/b> has already submitted a proposal to the major shareholder of the “Graeus”,Panagiotis Monemvasiotis<\/b>, with the two sides at an advanced stage of understanding. In this context, the creation of Iraklis TV<\/b> is planned, along the lines of PAO TV<\/b>, which is also being worked on.<\/p>\n
The issue of transmission of matches<\/b> during the transition period remains open, however, as the development of a new platform requires time. According to the same sources, the plan of Yannis Alafouzos<\/b> includes the broadcasting of the most important matches of Panathinaikos <\/b>and Heracles<\/b> via SKAI<\/b>, while other solutions are being considered for matches of lesser commercial value, although no final decision has been made.<\/p>\n
At the same time, AEK and PAOK d<\/b>maintain contracts<\/b> in force for the next season,<\/b> however, they have already started discussions for their renewal. AEK reportedly received around 10 million euros<\/b> from its TV rights last season, while PAOK received around 8 million euros<\/b>. Panathinaikos’ owner aims to attract both clubs to the new platform in the future, with initial exploratory contacts already having taken place.<\/p>\nPercapita’s rival project<\/h3>\n

Percapita<\/b>, the company jointly created by Thodoris Kyriakou,<\/b> Vangelis Marinakis and Yannis Vardinoyannis<\/b>, is opposed to this initiative, with the aim of managing and commercially exploiting the television rights<\/b> of the Super League teams.<\/b><\/p>\n
At present, 11 of the 14 teams<\/b> in the league maintain a deal with Percapit<\/b>a. The exceptions are Panathinaikos<\/b>, which had not joined the project, Heraklis<\/b>, which appears to be approaching Alafouzos’ plan, and AEK<\/b>, which is bound by a separate agreement with Cosmote TV<\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n
According to Gazzetta.gr<\/b>, Percapita is planning to create its own synchronous live streaming platform<\/b> from the 2027-28 season. The venture will be based on ANT1+,<\/b>in which the three entrepreneurs jointly hold equal stakes, with the prospect of expanding to other major sports competitions such as the Christmas League and EuroLeague.<\/b><\/p>\n
