{"id":9942,"date":"2026-06-10T12:18:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T09:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=9942"},"modified":"2026-06-10T12:18:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T09:18:00","slug":"george-gerapetritis-on-a-balkan-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=9942","title":{"rendered":"George Gerapetritis on a Balkan tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jorgos Gerapetritis<\/a> <\/b><\/b> is travelling to <b>Sofia<\/b> today, where he will attend the <a href=\"https:\/\/tomanifesto.gr\/synodos-koryfis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Summit and the Ministerial Meeting of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP). <\/p>\n<p>B&gt;Bulgaria<\/b> holds this year&#8217;s chairmanship of the Inter-Balkan Cooperation (Greece held it in 2022) and the focus will be on strengthening regional connectivity, <b>security<\/b>, economic cooperation, closer coordination on modern geopolitical challenges such as hybrid threats and the European perspective of the <b>WesternBalkans<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>With a view to the latter which will be the focus of the <b>Greek Presidency<\/b> of the EU Council (second half of 2027), Mr. Gerapetritis will tour the Western Balkans in the coming days. <\/p>\n<p>On 12 June he will visit Serbia, while on 19 June he will be in <b>Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/b> as well as in <b>Montenegro<\/b>.
