On June 15<\/strong>, the “Renovate” program opens through the gov.gr the eligibility process for the new programme “Renovate”<\/strong>, while the submission of final applications is expected to start at the beginning of September<\/strong>. <\/p>\n Social Cohesion and Family Affairs Minister Domna Michailidou<\/strong> recalled that the programme provides for a subsidy of 300 euros per square metre<\/strong>, with the total state aid up to 36.000 euros<\/strong> per dwelling. <\/p>\n As explained, the renovation<\/strong> is not limited to energy upgrade<\/strong> interventions, but can include work such as replacing frames<\/strong>, renovating kitchen<\/strong> or replacing floors<\/strong>. <\/p>\n The goal of the program is to utilize old and closed properties<\/strong> so that after renovation they can be made available for long-term leasing<\/strong>, helping to address the housing problem<\/strong> and at the same time increasing the income of the owners. <\/p>\n The total budget<\/strong> for the new scheme is estimated to be 500 million. EUR 500 million<\/strong>, with significantly increased expenditure coverage compared to previous cycles. <\/p>\n The subsidy<\/strong> will be able to cover up to 90%-95%<\/strong> of the cost of the works, while the income criteria<\/strong> are expected to be broadened in order to include more beneficiaries. <\/p>\n At the same time, the amount of financing will increase according to the number of children<\/strong> in the family.
