A new warning to Iran has been issued by Donald Trump, saying that US will hit the country hard.
“We hit them hard yesterday. We’re going to hit them hard again today and see what happens with the deal,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
“If they had a nuclear weapon, there would be no Israel, there would be no Middle East, and they certainly would have hit us,” he added.
When a reporter asked him to clarify if this meant a repeat of bombings, he replied by referring to the incident in which a US military helicopter went down in the Gulf of Oman:
“Yes, well, based on the helicopter, I guess we have the right to do that.”
“They will have to sign the agreement. It’s a good deal,” he said, adding that it prohibits Iran from ever acquiring nuclear weapons.
“I don’t know what they’re doing,” he said, while saying that the deal has been completed “with full negotiation”, but Iran continues to “watch”.
