New automobiles rise to 15,897 versus 13,622 released in March 2025, showing increase 16.7%.

Sales of automobiles in the country rose 18.2% in March this year as, according to ELSTAT, 25,722 cars (new or used foreign cars) were released for the first time in this month compared to 21,761 cars released in the corresponding month in 2025 (a 4.9% increase was recorded in March 2025 compared to the corresponding month in 2024).

In the first quarter, 25,722 cars were released for the first time 66.388 cars (new or used foreign) were circulated for the first time compared to 62,399 circulated in the corresponding period in 2025, showing an increase of 6.4% (a decrease of 1.7% was recorded in the January-March quarter of 2025 compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024). New cars amounted to 37,862 compared to 35,799 circulated in the first quarter of 2025, showing an increase of 5.8%.

March March saw the first 6,545 new motorcycles of over 50 cc (new and used foreign) circulated for the first time compared to 5.941 in the same month in 2025, representing an increase of 10.2% (an increase of 15.1% had been recorded in March 2025 compared to the same month in 2024). New motorcycles totaled 6,193 compared to 5,679 registered in March 2025, an increase of 9.1%.

In the first quarter, 15,998 new motorcycles of over 50 cc displacement (new and used foreign) were registered for the first time compared to 15.030 circulated in the corresponding period of 2025, representing an increase of 6.4% (an increase of 3.7% was recorded in the January-March quarter of 2025 compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024). New motorcycles totaled 15,047 compared to 14,199 registered in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 6%.
