In a particularly tense diplomatic climate, talks regarding the Iranian issue are unfolding, as Tehran sends a clear message of intransigence to Washington. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, with statements expected to provoke reactions, insists on a hard line, emphasizing that his country will not make concessions under external pressure. At the same time, the backdrop of the negotiations remains fluid, with unresolved issues regarding both the nuclear program and broader geopolitical balances in the Middle East, while diplomatic efforts continue without a definitive agreement.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, stated on state television that Iran is the winner of the war with the United States and claimed that the country emerged stronger from the conflict.

Nuclear program at a later stage

Referring to the ongoing diplomatic processes, Araghchi noted that the memorandum of understanding has not yet been signed, while leaving open the possibility of changes to its content.

At the same time, he stated that issues concerning Iran’s nuclear program will be discussed at a later stage of the negotiations.

The Iranian foreign minister added that the interim agreement would include an announcement of the end of the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.

He also stated that the lifting of the U.S. naval blockade and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz are part of the agreement.

“Enemies such as Israel oppose an agreement between Iran and the U.S.,” the Iranian foreign minister continued.

Galibaf: Commitments must be honored

Meanwhile, the speaker of the Iranian parliament, Galibaf, via a post on X.

“Commitments that are made must be honored. No ‘ifs,’ no ‘buts,’ no excuses. For the agreement that is just around the corner, there is no other way. You reap what you sow,” he noted.
