Tasos Gaitanis argued that the program of the New Democracy for 2023 cost 9 billion euros, is being fully implemented, and has been endorsed by the public over the opposition’s proposals.
Comparison of program costs by Tasos Gaitanis
The Secretary General of Research and Technology, Tassos Gaitanis, speaking on the program “Behind the Lines” on Action24, discussed a comparison of the costs of the government’s and the opposition’s platforms during the 2023 elections.
As noted, the New Democracy’s program had been costed at 9 billion euros and, as he argued, “is being fully implemented and carried out.”
At the same time, he noted that the programs of the opposition parties had been estimated to cost a total of 30 billion euros, emphasizing that the citizens did not, as he put it, choose populism.
“It is telling that in 2023, our program was costed at 9 billion, and it is being fully implemented and carried out. And the programs of the opposition parties were estimated at 30 billion. You can see that citizens did not succumb to populism. Greek citizens know that whatever Kyriakos Mitsotakis promises, he will deliver,” Mr. Gaitanis stated emphatically.
