Sofia Voultepsi launched a scathing attack against the Greek Left Coalition , refusing to accept that the new political party bears no responsibility for the government’s past actions.

A stormy televised debate, set against the backdrop of Alexis Tsipras’s recent rebranding, unfolded on the air. The MP from New Democracy attempted to dismantle the narrative of renewal and “purification” promoted by the Greek Left Coalition, harshly recalling the record of the previous administration. Addressing the new political formation, she emphatically stated: “You have 2 ministers convicted of breach of duty.”

This specific remark prompted a reaction from journalist Seraphim Kotrotsos, who asked for clarification regarding the individuals the MP was referring to, asking her: “Who are they?”

Sofia Voultepsi replied without hesitation, naming two top officials who had been at the center of the Special Court’s decisions, saying: “Papangelopoulos and Pappas.” Seraphim Kotrotsos replied: “What do they have to do with the Hellenic Police?”.

This argument prompted an outburst from the New Democracy MP, who, with a highly scathing remark , completely rejected the attempt to whitewash the political history of left-wing officials behind new labels and acronyms. “Really? Did we change our tax ID numbers? Did we change our underwear? Come on, will you give me a break?,” Sofia Voultepsi concluded emphatically.
