Criticism Douka against Anna Diamantopoulou against the backdrop of her remarks regarding positive aspects of the government’s fiscal policy and the country’s favorable image abroad.
In a post, the mayor of Athens states that “the views expressed today by Ms. Diamantopoulou, in which she commends the New Democracy government for its successes in fiscal policy and the country’s image abroad, do not reflect the views of PASOK. Given this, it comes as no surprise to me that it finds the calls for dialogue within the progressive camp ridiculous,” said Mr. Doukas.
This followed a pointed statement by Ms. Diamantopoulou against the backdrop of Doukas’s proposal, regarding cooperation in a possible second round of elections for PASOK with ELAS led by Alexis Tsipras.
““I can’t imagine a more ridiculous approach,” Ms. Diamantopoulou said pointedly in a television interview this morning.
