The return to factory settings for Alexis Tsipras and his inner circle is becoming increasingly apparent.

As time goes by and the officials with whom Alexis Tsipras wants to promote his party step into the spotlight, it becomes increasingly clear that the rebranding is simply a… joke. A bit like the money trees and the billions they find and distribute, promising yet again new debt relief and everything else associated with the period before 2015, a bit of the arrogance they display because of their poll numbers, they’re pouring into the effort to present EL.A.S. as something new.

An EL.A.S. official came out yesterday and stated that the percentage shown in the polls appears to indicate that they will vote for New Democracy “rejoices” at the expense of other citizens. In other words, that New Democracy voters derive satisfaction from the suffering of others.

Yes, that’s what one of the “new” leaders of Left under Alexis Tsipras, launching an attack against New Democracy voters, something that will, of course, also apply to those who vote accordingly on the day of the and who will not be the ones recorded in the polls, which—for the record—currently show them exceeding 30%.

They used to say nice things like that about SYRIZA under Alexis Tsipras in 2019 when, after the European elections, they addressed the public, claiming that they “didn’t understand what they were doing or what they were voting for.” They said similar things in 2023, noting that with their vote, citizens had destroyed the country. They said similar things when they made their infamous “it’s either them or us” and “either we finish them off or they finish us off.”

Divisive and confrontational, with utter arrogance stemming from a 15% approval rating recorded in the polls before the dust had even settled. Relying on media support from outlets that are supposedly against them and on triumphant declarations made by various so-called analysts who have reappeared in the spotlight, they reveal their true colors.

Above all, however, they show just how little they value citizens and their choices.
