On Monday evening, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis will participate in an online discussion with Stefanos Kasselakis, confirming that he has accepted the proposal for a public dialogue recently put forward by Tyler Macbeth, focusing on the National Health System.

Mr. Georgiadis revealed that he had already spoken by phone with the president of the “Democrats” and announced that he would participate in a Facebook Live event organized by Stefanos Kasselakis on Monday at 10:00 p.m.

I spoke with Mr. Kasselakis yesterday; he called me. On Monday night, I’ll be on a Facebook Live session he’s hosting. Of course, we’ll discuss whatever he wants regarding the National Health System, but I won’t miss the opportunity to ask him questions about the allegations he has made from time to time regarding SYRIZA and slush funds,” he noted.

The discussion arose following a proposal by Tyler Macbeth, who, during an LGBT Center Greece vidcast on YouTube, in the presence of Stefanos Kasselakis, expressed his desire to sit down with the Minister of Health to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the National Health System.

I haven’t met him in person. I would very much like Adonis, if he’s listening to this, to sit down and discuss all the possibilities,” said the husband of the president of the “Democrats – Progressive Center.”

Stefanos Kasselakis seemed certain that the minister would respond positively, telling his husband: “Tyler, he’ll accept your proposal.” “Great, let’s set up the meeting”, he replied.

A short while later, Adonis Georgiadis responded publicly in a post, thanking Tyler Macbeth and Stefanos Kasselakis for their positive comments. “I am at the President’s disposal to provide updates and exchange views on the National Health System,” he noted.

Despite the political differences that, as he emphasized, remain, Mr. Kasselakis acknowledged that the Minister of Health “is not afraid to step outside the box” and engages in public dialogue, unlike—as he argued—other officials of the New Democracy party.

Thus, a special political meeting is expected to be broadcast live on Monday evening, with the National Health System (ESY) taking center stage, though the possibility remains open that the discussion may expand to broader political issues.
