Specifically, the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz due to violations by the U.S.and Israel of the ceasefire stipulated in the memorandum of understanding, according to the Iranian news agency Mehr.
The Iranian military command clarified that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz is the “first step” and warned that further measures would be taken if “the attack continues.”
