The message that the Israeli Defense Forces retain their freedom of action against threats to Lebanon was conveyed in a video message by Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday (6/22).
“My directive and that of the Minister of Defense to the Israel Defense Forces is clear and has not changed,” he stated. “Our fighters in southern Lebanon have complete freedom of action to prevent any immediate or emerging threat to themselves or to the residents of the North,” he added.
“The Israel Defense Forces have no restrictions in this regard,” he said. “I stand with them. The entire nation stands with them,” he noted.
““I am unwavering in my conviction that we will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon for as long as it takes to protect the residents of the North and all the country’s citizens,” he added.
