Chargefully dismissed the Iran the possibility of transferring enriched uranium to the United States, directly refuting claims by US President Donald Trump.
The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghai, made it clear that Tehran has not agreed to any such process, stressing the importance of nuclear material for the country.
“Enriched uranium is as sacred to us as the Iranian soil and will not be transferred anywhere under any circumstances,” he said, according to Tasnim.
These statements directly contradict what Trump had earlier claimed, who in an interview with CBS had said that Iran had “agreed to everything” and would work with the US to remove enriched uranium.
The US president had also stressed that the process would not involve sending ground forces, saying, “No. No troops […] We will go in there and take it with them.”.
