The annulment of the arrest warrant arrest warrant issued against him, as requested by the Supreme Court by Dimitris Avramopoulos, in an appeal filed with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court.
In the petition he filed, Dimitris Avramopoulos denies the charges against him and challenges the legality of the European arrest warrant issued against him.
Specifically, he argues that the judicial document issued by the Brussels investigating judge does not clearly specify the time, place, and circumstances under which the acts attributed to him were committed.
Furthermore, the former European Commissioner argues that the national court decision or national warrant on which the issuance of the European arrest warrant was based is not sufficiently specified, as required by the current legal framework.
