The first to appear at the hearing before the Conference of Presidents of Parliament, one of the candidates for the position of Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Evangelos Bakelas.

Mr. Bakelas received 17 votes and it is now considered certain that he will be the next Prosecutor of the Supreme Court.

Second in terms of votes was Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Vasilis Floridis, the brother of the Minister of Justice, who received 12 votes.

The completion of the process formally paves the way for the final decision by the Council of Ministers.

This specific ranking, which emerged from the conference of the presidents, constitutes the binding recommendation of the Minister of Justice to the Council of Ministers, which has the final say on the selection of the new Prosecutorof the Supreme Court, who will succeed Konstantinos Tzavellas.
