Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he gave the “green light” for coordinated action by the Security Service of Ukraine, targeting Russian infrastructure and strategic sites considered critical to the continuation of military operations. This development comes at a time when attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles have increased, while Ukraine is attempting to push the offensive deeper into Russian territory, striking, among other targets, energy facilities and supply hubs. The objective of the operation

Specifically, the Ukrainian president stated that, following consultations with the head of the country’s Security Service regarding strikes against Russian targets, he approved a 40-day campaign aimed at pressuring Russia to end the war against Ukraine.

“I have approved a 40-day operation by the Service aimed at putting pressure on the aggressor state to bring the war to an end,” Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.

It should be noted that for months now, Ukraine has been carrying out successive waves of attacks with medium- and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles against targets in Russia or in areas under Russian control, focusing primarily on oil industry facilities.
