The countdown to the payment of child allowance of 150 euros has begun.

According to the schedule, payment is expected to be completed no later than Tuesday, June 30, with the financial assistance being automatically deposited into the bank accounts registered on myAADE.

In total, 974,892 families are set to receive the emergency aid, while the total amount to be allocated reaches 240.1 million euros. The income thresholds cover approximately 80% of households with dependent children.

Who is eligible for the allowance

Eligible recipients are parents with dependent children, based on the information reported in the 2025 tax return.

For married individuals or those who have entered into a civil partnership, the total family income must not exceed 40,000 euros. The limit increases by 5,000 euros for each additional dependent child after the first.

For single-parent families, the maximum income is set at 39,000 euros, and a supplement is also provided 5,000 euros for each additional dependent child beyond the first.

Financial assistance is tax-exempt and exempt from seizure

This financial assistance is tax-exempt, non-transferable and unseizable. It cannot be seized by the government or banks and cannot be offset against debts owed to the tax authorities or the government.

At the same time, a special procedure has been established for those who had a child after filing their 2025 tax return.

These eligible individuals will receive the allowance or the additional amount via a interim payment by August 31, 2026, provided that by July 31, 2026, they have registered the new dependent child in the AADE Registry.

If the child was added after the filing of the income tax return for the tax year 2024, the amount of the benefit is paid in equal shares to both parents, provided that the child is listed by July 31, 2026 as a dependent of both parents. If the child is claimed by only one parent, then the entire amount is paid to that beneficiary.
