Submitted to the Secretary of SYRIZA-PS a request for the immediate convening of the Central Committee.

The request is signed by members of the Political Secretariat Yiannis Boulekos and Christos Lambridis, former Minister Yiannis Amanatidis, Central Committee member Eleni Evangelopoulou, and four other members of the Central Committee.

In their petition, they point out that recent public statements by Hellenic Police (ELAS) officials, which reject any prospect of cooperation with progressive parties, while simultaneously asserting that SYRIZA-PS has completed its historical and political cycle, essentially alter the circumstances upon which the Central Committee’s latest decision to explore collaborations was based.

As they emphasize, following the categorical rejection of any prospect of cooperation by the other side, the Central Committee’s decision has become practically unenforceable and lacks political substance.

For this reason, they are calling for the immediate convening of the body so that the new political realities can be reassessed, the political autonomy of SYRIZA-PS, to implement the decisions of the Congress, and to proceed with the party’s political and organizational preparations for any potential election.

The signatories emphasize that SYRIZA-PS cannot function as a party that simply awaits the decisions of third parties, but must clearly chart its own autonomous political course.
