Attendance of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Haris Theocharis, were signed on Thursday, June 25, two Memoranda of Cooperation were signed between the Greek companies TERNA S.A. and DP PUMPS GROUP and Naftogaz, the state-owned natural gas company of Ukraine.
The signing took place within the framework of the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, hosted in Gdańsk in Poland, marking yet another step forward in economic cooperation between the two countries.
Following up on the agreements signed in Kyiv
The new memoranda are a continuation of the Confidentiality Agreements signed on March 30, 2026 in Kyiv, during the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Haris Theocharis, who had led a Greek business delegation to Ukraine.
This development confirms that cooperation between Greek companies and Ukrainian entities is progressing steadily, with the aim of implementing specific investment projects.
The projects provided for in the agreements
The agreement between TERNA S.A. and Naftogaz concerns the development of cooperation on natural gas, energy storage, and renewable energy in the Odessa region.
On the other hand, the agreement with DP PUMPS GROUP provides for collaboration on projects involving water infrastructure, pumping systems for power plants, as well as other energy facilities.
The goal is Ukraine’s energy security
The two agreements establish the framework for more active participation by the Greek business community in reconstruction of Ukraine, with an emphasis on the sectors of energy and infrastructure.
At the same time, it is estimated that they will strengthen the country’s energy security of the country, at a time when needs remain high due to the ongoing war.
Who signed the memoranda
On behalf of the Greek side, the memoranda were signed by the Executive Director of International Markets at TERNA S.A., Stathis Natsis, and the Chairman and CEO of DP PUMPS GROUP, Georgios Polemis.
Naftogaz was represented by Director of International Relations and Partnership Development, Oleksiy Ryabchyn.
