“Patrols” and left-wing anti-Semitism in the crosshairs of Portosalte’s commentary
Aris Portosalte, speaking on the show “Today” on SKAI, referred to the anti-Semitic activities of Rouvikonas in Thessaloniki, expressing its strong opposition to the group’s self-proclaimed “patrols.”
“I’m waiting for these patrols to end. There’s a group that’s bordering on thuggery, patrolling the streets,” he said, commenting on the group’s actions.
The journalist focused particularly on the presence of members of Rouvikonas in Thessaloniki, saying: “They went out on patrol in Thessaloniki because, he says, Israel? I don’t understand.”
Concluding his remarks, he argued that there is “left-wing anti-Semitism”, emphasizing that such practices are incompatible with a democratic system of government. “We have left-wing anti-Semitism in Greece. It is unacceptable in a liberal democracy for thugs to roam the streets,” he stated.
