New Democracy MP Dimitris Markopoulos gives a categorical rebuttal to rumours that he does not have a university degree in a post in response to allegations by Stefanos Kasselakis.
The MP for Piraeus and Parliamentary Representative of New Democracy, Dimitris Markopoulos refers to an “organized effort to smear his credibility“. He points out, in fact, that “this targeting began with his assumption of his duties as the party’s parliamentary representative“.
He clarifies that he is a holder of a degree from the School of Humanities of the Hellenic Open University (EAP) of the University of Patras, rejecting the reports circulating on the internet in this regard.
At the same time, he notes that he also holds a Diploma in Media and Journalism from the Professional Education & Training Organization of the Ministry of National Education & Religious Affairs, strengthening, he claims, his academic and professional background.
The post of Dimitris Markopoulos
Following unsubstantiated rumours about the non-existence of a university degree and an attempt to smear my credibility, which began in an organised manner with the assumption of my duties as a parliamentary representative of New Democracy, I explicitly and categorically state:
– I hold a degree from the School of Humanities of the School of Humanities of the EAP of the University of Patras
– I hold a Diploma in Media and Journalism from the Professional Education & Training Organization of the Ministry of National Education & Religious Affairs
For this reason, I call on those who spread lies on the internet poisoning the public debate to refute them.
