Meeting of Israel-Lebanon in Washington to pursue peace.
The second meeting between Israel and Lebanon will take place in Washington on Thursday, at the ambassadorial level, as part of the ongoing negotiations to reach a peace agreement following the ceasefire.
The Lebanese delegation will be headed by former Lebanese ambassador to the United States Simon Karam, the country’s president Joseph Aoun announced.
He identified the main objectives of the talks, noting: “The goal of the negotiations is to end hostilities, to end the Israeli occupation in areas in the south and to deploy the army up to the internationally recognized southern border.”
