The president of the United States Donald Trump told Fox News that agreement with Iran will be signed “today” in Islamabad, raising expectations for a positive outcome.

His comments follow an earlier interview with the New York Post, where he had revealed that US Vice President J.D. Vance and the US delegation are already on their way to the Pakistani capital for the new round conversations.

Trump attempted to allay concerns about possible involvement in the process, stating, “Supposedly the conversations will take place. At this stage, I guess nobody is playing games“.

The mission also includes special envoy Steve Whitcoff and adviser Jared Kushner, with the US president stressing that the delegation is “already en route” and is expected to arrive in Islamabad within the next few hours.

At the same time, he left open the possibility of a personal meeting with senior Iranian officials, on the proviso that substantial progress in the negotiations.
