Tuesday morning saw Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis meeting with Prince Albert II of Monaco, at Meximou Mansion.

During the conversations, the two sides focused on the initiatives undertaken by Greece for responsible management and protection of the oceans and seas, an issue that has long been a key priority for the Principality of Monaco.

The Prime Minister presented to Prince Albert the country’s recent actions in the field of marine protection, with particular emphasis on the creation of two new national marine parks: in the Ionian Sea and in Aegean Sea, focusing on the Southern Cyclades.
The meeting is part of a broader framework for strengthening international cooperation for the protection of the marine environment, with Greece attempting to become a protagonist of relevant initiatives in the Mediterranean.
