“I guess we’re talking about tweaked minds,” was Pavlos Marinakis’s comment on Kostas Arvanitis about “manipulated elections” in 2023.

In his statements to SKAI, government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis responded to the MEP of Syriza, Kostas Arvanitis: “If this is the excuse that Mr Arvanitis gives for his party’s repeated defeats and the fact that it is at 3%, then good 1%“.

He reminded Kostas Arvanitis of SYRIZA’s ratings in the last few elections, noting that “a party that was at 31% as opposition and went to 22%, 17%, a good 1%”.

“We are probably talking about manipulated minds,” he concluded.

Earlier, the SYRIZA MEP attempted to refute his statements about “rigged elections”, telling SKAI that “I never spoke about fraud, but about altering consciences.”

In response to opposition accusations of “government blackmail against the European Public Prosecutor’s Office”, the government spokesman referred to slander and cited what the Commission, the Economist and Transparency International have reported on Greece’s record on the rule of law and transparency.
