His waiver of immunity so that the case can be investigated has been requested by a href=”https://tomanifesto”>the ND Lakis Vassiliadis, speaking in the Parliament.
During the discussion of the prosecutor’s prosecutor’s office file, Mr. Vassiliadis stressed that he wished to give the judiciary the opportunity to fully examine the case in order to prove that there was no shadow in his conduct.
“I owe it first to myself, then to my family and to the citizens who trusted me to show that there is nothing wrong,” he said, stressing that he is calling for his waiver of immunity.
The MP noted that the implication of his name is based on transcripts of conversations in which he said he was not involved, and argued that the case involves a request from a cattle farmer that ultimately did not yield any benefit.
He even cited evidence in the file that there was no intervention or audit modification by OPECEP, noting that “no favours or illegal acts were done.”
At the same time, he called for the rapid completion of the process, so that no shadows remain against him, stressing that for him it is a matter of responsibility and credibility towards the citizens.
“I don’t want any doubt left on my face. I will act with honesty, transparency and trust in the judiciary,” he concluded.
