Highly symbolic Mitsotakis-Macron meeting amid geopolitical challenges.
At a critical juncture for Europe, the President of France Emanuel Macron and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet on Friday 24 April at the Roman Agora of Athens.
The debate, which will take place at 19:30, will focus on the challenges facing Europe and the prospects for its future in an environment of heightened geopolitical uncertainty.
The event will be moderated by the director of the newspaper “Kathimerini”, Alexis Papachelas.
The defence and strategic autonomy of the European Union, relations with the US, Russia and the Middle East, lessons from successive crises, the need for energy security and the strengthening of Greek-French cooperation are some of the issues the two leaders will be asked to address.
