According to updated data published by Ministry of Rural Development and Food, a total of 5 new cases were recorded in this period, which were detected in the Regional Units of Aitoloakarnania (1), Evritania (1) and Ilia (3). Specifically, positive breeders were recorded on 8/4/2026 in E.U. Aitoloakarnania and Ilia, on 14/4/2026 in Euphrytania and on 16/4/2026 again in E.U. Evritania.
At the same time, according to the same data from the Ministry of Agriculture, between 14/10/2025 and 19/04/2026, a total of 60,499 checks have been carried out, 99 infringements have been confirmed and 98 arrests have been made.
