Believable things are coming out of the mouths of PASOK officials, such as what Constantina Georgaki, for example, said, trying in vain to explain the… genius plan Androulakis for a primary.

Constantina Georgaki, secretary of the PASOK‘s Institutions sector, was on the show of Stamatis Zacharou and explained Nikos Androulakis’s incredible plan to win even by one vote. And admittedly it is… brilliant, as would befit a politician like the president of PASOK.

According to the party’s secretary of institutions, when asked how PASOK will come out ahead of New Democracy, she stressed that the party’s plan is to wait for New Democracy to run in the… 12-13%, so that her party can get ahead. How could they not have thought of this earlier?

She, who is also a professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, apparently tried without success to defend Nikos Androulakis‘s narrative of winning by even one vote. A narrative that doesn’t seem to be verified anywhere, neither by the polls nor by society.

And therefore her response managed to reach the realm of the ridiculous. Unless even PASOK executives believe that their party can rise in the polls and, more importantly, govern.

Here is the relevant dialogue:

Stamatis Zacharos: So you expect New Democracy to drop below 12-13% to come out on top by even one vote?

Constantina Georgaki: This is our plan. We with our program, with our positions and our politics and our political culture, as Mr. Vassiliadis said, which we indicate in all internal party processes, we are trying to get the citizens to give us the opportunity to change the established order.
